The “booked → attended” gap must not automatically be called no-shows: check-in errors or different conventions may explain it. Use the dedicated definition before drawing a conclusion.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between booking rate and occupancy rate?

Booking rate compares retained bookings with published places. Occupancy rate compares confirmed attendance with available places. A class can therefore be heavily booked but less occupied if people are absent.

How is attendance rate calculated?

Attendance rate compares confirmed attendance with retained bookings. It measures the proportion of bookings that actually become attendances.

Should these rates be calculated for a single class?

You can calculate them for a class or a period, provided you total comparable places, bookings and attendances and use the same period convention.

Are the entered data sent to GE2studio?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and this tool does not transmit the values you enter.
